Processing Your Feelings

“This newsletter touched me, Beth. Our 2-yr old cat got hit and went to kitty heaven yesterday….way too early. He was the most joyful thing in my life, so it’s hard, but this little story brought me some peace 🙂 ~ Angie @ LifeCapsule

Our feelings move, grow, change, integrate and allow us to be changeable in a world that only knows change. We have dynamic forces within us if we tap into the emotions we are feeling at the time. These feelings expressed in a story connect us to each other. We feel that feeling in our heart. We move in that feeling, and if we follow the emotion all the way out there, another sense intersects.

I shut down my feelings for many years because I wanted to function. But that disconnect created me holding on to dreadful behavior patterns of self-abuse and unworthiness and disconnect. I don’t do this anymore because it is detrimental to me, so I feel the feeling even if it exhausts me. Yesterday was a day of exploring some not-so-good feelings but following them out, allowed me to feel the joy of rebirth. And the energy (my empowerment) grew stronger.

If we record these feelings and keep these recordings in a particular folder, we can listen again to the situation and decide if it’s a story worth telling and remembering in a book or deleting it altogether. And that means IMPACT.
